WHAT IS COWBOY CHURCH?
Cowboy Church has "no barriers" for worship. We meet in rural settings such as sale barns, arenas or metal buildings. Leaving behind established traditions, we believe the New Testament Church example can be closely followed in a casual, yet spiritual atmosphere.
Tithes and offerings are not collected, but simply placed in a feed bucket or boot at the back of the room.
Cowboy Churches are local Christian churches within the cowboy culture that are distinctively Western Heritage in character. We do our baptizing in a metal watering trough. Our sermons are short and simple and easy for all Cowpokes to understand.
Some Cowboy Churches have covered arenas where rodeo events such as bull riding, team roping, ranch sorting, team penning and equestrian events are held.
